The Trevor Project provides crisis support for LGBTQ+ young people through a 24/7 trained counselor line, text line, and chat, plus TrevorSpace, a peer-moderated community where thousands of young LGBTQ+ people connect, share stories, and support each other. Counselors are specially trained to handle LGBTQ+-specific issues and mental health crises, and TrevorSpace forums cover coming out, identity, relationships, and mental health with peer moderation. Services are free and confidential.
Choose this if you're a young LGBTQ+ person in crisis or looking for peer support from your community. The 24/7 counselors understand LGBTQ+ issues deeply rather than offering generic crisis support, TrevorSpace connects you with peers your age who've navigated similar situations, and the entire organization exists specifically to affirm and support LGBTQ+ youth.
