The program comes in versions tailored to different relationship types, including same-sex couples, military and veteran spouses, and individuals working through it on their own. Eight to ten hours of structured content spans the six-week arc, and couples set their own pace. There’s no therapist involved, so diagnosis and clinical treatment aren’t part of it, but the research behind the exercises is peer-reviewed and federally funded, which is a higher standard than most self-help tools meet.
OurRelationship sits in a useful middle ground: more structured than a self-help book, far less expensive than regular therapy, and designed to be completed without a clinician present. Couples dealing with moderate relationship distress, rather than acute crisis, are the clearest fit.
