Sad Girls Club is a nonprofit that removes financial barriers to mental health care for Black women and women of color through scholarship programs and free group therapy sessions. Founded in 2017, the organization has built a community-driven model offering both professional therapy and peer support, grounded in understanding the specific mental health impacts of racism and systemic oppression on BIPOC women.

This is ideal if cost has kept you from therapy, or if you want to be in a healing space with other Black and BIPOC women who understand your lived experience without requiring you to explain systemic racism or microaggressions. The combination of free professional counseling and peer community creates accountability and belonging that many traditional therapy settings don't offer to marginalized communities.
